132 players showed up to play in the $3.2k Nordic Masters main event.
I felt it was going to be a good day when I managed to avoid a nasty bad beat already at the train station. A huge pigeon dropped a load right next to me and I took it as a good omen that it didn’t hit me in the head
I’m very excited and ready to play some good poker, it being my first tournament as the PokerTime Pro. My first table is a very interesting table indeed with players such as Norinder , Björn Isberg, Hatten, Ojan, Rifat etc. Looked like a action and chatty table:) I found some good hands the first two levels and won small pots with AA and KK that I used to see some flops that I missed completly.
I stay around starting stack pretty much all day. I have a few dips, but manage to work my way back up every time. I’m completely card dead after level 2 and don’t even get any creative hands like suited connectors and small pairs. It’s not until level 8 that I finally make a stand and raise it up against a limper. He goes all in and I call with AK. I outflop his pair of 9s and double up to 29k, which is my daily high so far.
I have a lot of negative things to say about the organization of this event. The food was very very bad and there is absolutely no air in the tournament area. Way too many people in a fairly small room. When they decide to break out table with less than 5 minutes left of the day I get completely steamed and lose my head…. I almost want to bust just to go back home to Göteborg tomorrow, but control my feelings and fold the last two hands of the day at my new table. I finish the day with 18.4k in my stack. 70 players survived and the average is about 38k. All I need is a double up, and I’m known for not giving up so don’t count me out just yet
Let’s hope for a rush, better air and better food tomorrow
