WSOP has begun! One of the first events is the”Player’s Championship”, a $50k mixed game event. Not many swedes in the field, but one of the two is in the lead, Erik Sagström. The other player is Mikael Thuritz and he is in the middle of the pack right after day 1.
The other day the Ivey room at Aria opened and “everybody” was there. Here’s a clip with some interviews and familiar faces. Enjoy

Yesterday I went to the movies and saw the Joneses. A funny movie in which a fake family moves into a new area. The family has everything: they’re gorgeous, successful and have all the latest gadgets. That their job is to advertise stuff and get their neighbors and acquaintances to buy the same stuff is their little secret.
The movie runs a bit with the fact that we are becoming more and more gadget mad and looking enviously at a neighbor’s a bit more expensive car / house / clothes etc.. This is perhaps slightly more common in L.A. than Gothenburg yet but the phenomenon is spreading and we are not far behind. In the poker world we can see many examples where the latest sports car or expensive watch is considered confirming ones talents and success at the tables. Maybe it’s time to think about what is really important in life?
This saturday I ran Göteborgsvarvet, a half marathon in Gothenburg Sweden. For those who like running I can highly recommend it. It’s one big party!! I ran just under 2 hours and now I’m going for gold (big improvment) next year. Maybe I need a bet to motivate me? 
It’s important that you don’t forget to fill in the ESTA application form if traveling to Vegas this summer. This form is part of an automated system that determines if you are allowed to travel to the US. You can apply with no cost at the webstite for US Customs and Border Protection. NOTE, there are many other sites that offer this service for a charge. It’s extremely easy to fill in this form so don’t support them!
