Today I represented PokerTine during day 1A of the EPT here in Copenhagen. I was extremely focused and for once almost avoided all table talk in favour of 100% game focus. It went in both directions initially and I moved back and forth between 25-35 a number of times. When we went on dinnerbreak I had dropped to 24k from the initial 30k. After dinner during level 5 I managed to work my way up to 36k without even seeing a flop once. I 3- and 4-betted alot and managed to take down a lot of pots preflop. During level 6 I suppose they got tired of me and I got spanked in 2 straight pots and dropped to 20k. From there on I had to change gears and slowed down. Unfortunately for me I also got no hands which is not very good when you don’t have much chips. The only two spots I found with decent enough hands to even try making something happen I got action from the wrong players. The tightest guy at the table who only played 2 hands the last 2 hours (and not many more the rest of the day) pushed me and I had to fold. Unfortunately for me I finished the day with only 8500 in my stack. Not much, but enough for a comeback. I’ve done it before and it’s about time I do it again
The most interesting hand of the day? With blinds 100-200 I raise 525 with AA from early position. LrsLzk autoraise as so many times before to 1500. The Norweigan guy behind him,who have many times pointed out to the Norweigan press exactly how LrsLzk plays makes it 3450 to go. Definately getting interesting….. I suspect that the Norweigan actually has a hand, and since I’ve been very active with 3 and 4-bets I expect action. I make it 13450 to go in an attempt to come of as I have AK and that I’m happy to take down the pot right away. To my surprise LrsLzk goes all in and the Norweigan tanks. I’m jumping up and down with exceitment inside, but the Norweigan decides to fold (after I’ve snapped call he says he folded KK for the first time in his life preflop):( LrzLzk also has AA :( . Too bad Lrs wasn’t fooling around as usual cause I’m pretty sure I would have doubled against the Norweigan then… No miracales and a split pot between us. At least it was exciting until the card were turned over.. det i alla fall ända tills korten vändes upp….

A sidenote which once again might consume the pokerworld and become first page material is that Isildur1 won over 700k last night and will surely battle at the highest stakes soon again. I for one can’t wait!
