Goals for 2010

Somebody told me that it is better to put up goal than to just sit down and play every day and hope for the best.  I thought it made sense and put up some goals for 2010

1. Win every month - might sound obvious, but I’ve had my share of losing months and this year I thought I’ll try to change that

2. Always play the best I can - another obvious one right?  Yes, it is time to make the gap between my A-game which I think is awesome and my C-game that I’m a little less proud of.  Tilt och gambling calls are no longer a part of my game.

3. Always have the right bankroll for the stake I’m playing  -  As a pro this is a must for ones survival.  Unless you like beeing bust every other month after losing a big pot and half your bankroll in the same hand. 100 buy ins is a minimum.

4. Give myself the chance to win one of the tournaments I’m playing -  I have in a few of the tournaments I’ve played gotten to a stage where a spot in the money is the best I can hope for, and had to really squeeze myself in there. Amsterdam has been the closest last two years, but one time I lost to a huge suckout and the other time I made a misread I hope to forget soon.  This year I’m making at least one final table!

Any of you readers that have put up any interesting goals for 2010?

Hounered

In the lastest issue of First Poker Lina Olofsson wrote an article about the EPT in Prague.  In her article you can read the text below.  A very nice compliment indeed :)

“Ljust i tunneln ur svensk synvinkel var istället Oskar

Silow.

Translated to English with google translate:
“Light in the tunnel from a Swedish point of view was rather OskarSilow. Oskar has for years been one of the Swedish “Regulars”I followed and the great thing about him is that henever seems to tilt. Not once have I seen him justgive up and throw away their land, as many otherdo after losing a big pot and decisive. Oskarwould be successful quadruple up to number seven in the level schemeand was one of those we would follow the second day. ”

Finland is cold indeed

My last tournament here in Finland was a Terminator tournament with a quick structure.  I managed to find AA 3 (!) times the first hour.  Even tho I played a lot of hands I got no action the first two times and the last time I got too much action and busted :(

My friend managed to come in 6th in the main event, busting with AQ vs 44, which he was somewhat dissapointed with.

You can read my thoughts on Antonius and his game in this article.  It’s in Swedish, but use a translate program and you’ll be fine :)
