This time it’s a dane in the lead. The top spot for losing money online has been overtaken by Gus Hansen and it’s no longer Guy La Liberte in the lead. However if you consider all Guy’s nicks his lead is almost impossible to overtake…

Ask the Pro
Question:
Hello amexos!
I am 19 years old and I am trying to work my way up to the top. I
consider myself a good player in both Sit & Go’s and Tournaments. Do
you have any advice or tips on how to increase my bankroll?
I started Poker Time with the $10 signup bonus and I have cashed out
$150 and I am still playing with $100, although i want to one day make
it into the thousands. Do you suggest sticking to Sit & Go’s and
moving up in buy-ins or sticking to tournaments and hoping to hit
big?
Thanks for reading and goodluck in your future games!
Marino.
Answer:
Hello Marino,
It all depends what your goal with poker is. If your goal with poker is to have a good time you can take bigger risks and make it in to the thousands quicker than if you need to make sure you can pay the bills next month. I definately don’t recommend playing and hoping to hit big. Although that is the reason a lot of players play in the big tournament, in most of the daily tournaments offered online the money won is good extra money but not life changing.
There is not really any secret on how to increase your bankroll online besides, stick to what you are good at! If you consider yourself a good sit and go player I suggest you stick to sit and gos and try to move up in buy ins when your bankroll allows it. Good sit and go skills translates very easily to tournaments and you can definately do both.
One of the best ways of becoming a better player and start winning more is discussing poker both with friend who play and online in forums.
I hope this was at least a little help and you are more than welcome to ask more questions if you want :) Good luck at the tables!

Thank god it wasn’t me…
There is only one word that can describe it, INSANE!! ! Last night a new record was broken. The one for swings!! Guess who was involved, yes of course it was Isildur1. I natt slogs nog nytt rekord I swings. I watched for a bit while he was playing Brian Townsend and at his peak he had taken almost $2M from him and was up almost $3M in total. Then I went to watch some TV. After a few episodes of Desperate Housewives, Gossip, Girl, How I met your mother, and Supernatural I returned to the computer and saw that Isildur1 was now playing Brian Hastings who had taken him for almost $3M! In the end he lost $4,2M to Hastinsg who probably had the best session in his career.
The question is when Islidur1 will take care of his biggest leak? Not to take games against fresh players after a long session against someone else…
